Something that we all seem to do when we live in a city little to long is forget what wonderful things that city might have to offer. We are fortunate enough to live in a City were we have an never ending list of fantastic things to do for free or very little money... so do we take advantage of this? Of course not. Today we met up with the Mombourquette family to go skating on the Rideau Canal, only the great outdoor rink anywhere. Cynthia and Abigail had a great time catching up and skating. We were all so proud of them, they did a fantastic job skating and certainly didn't complain about sore feet like the adults. If you know anything about Ottawa in the winter, you would know that a day out wouldn't be complete wihout one mandatory food item... THE BEAVER TAIL of course. It was a perfect day and got us thinking about the great things this city has to offer and we hope to get out and do more even when it's winter.

Happy Valentine's Day
As Hallmark would have it we shouldn't be showing and telling our loved ones that we love them, we should bottle it all up until today and splurge - so here it is my dear Friends and Family:
WE LOVE YOU!
All joking aside today has been a pretty decent day. Todd woke up bright and early to register Cynthia and her little best friend MacKenna up for Soccer - can't wait to see them playing this summer, it's going to be too cute. Cynthia and I got up and got ready for Dance class, it was so cute she wanted to bring her teachers Valentine cards and so she did. Her dance teachers gave her a little goodie bag of treats.
Tonight we are all doing something we love - Cynthia will be going to a play centre "Parents Night Out" where she will get to hang out play games, watch a movie and eat pizza with her friends while Todd and I are heading out for dinner... you guessed it we are packing up and heading to the far end of town to eat German at the wonderful Lindehoff restaurant.
Todd and I decided not to do any gifts for each other, I mean as much as I love flowers they don't last and the cat would probably have then for a midnight snack anyway and I don't need a hear shaped necklace because I have one and think that's my quota. Becuase of our plan I didn't get anything for Todd... of course he came home with something for me - something I have wanted for a while and never got around to getting... a romantic heating pad - yes you heard it right a heating pad. Love it.
Well we are off to enjoy a dinner out - hope you all have a great Valentine's Day.

Changes around this place
For the last few years the entries on this site have been done by miss Cynthia - well she is four now and life is busy and she just doesn't have the time to sit down and blog anymore. We were talking this weekend and she said "Mom can you please take over cynthiakennedy.net for a bit so I can focus on my life?" What could I say to this - of course I would help her out, I mean who am I to hold her back? So the site will still star Cynthia but will also have a new twist to it - focusing on the entire Kennedy family. I hope I can be half the blogger that Cynthia has been, enjoy reading.

This is what 4 looks like
Wow can you say CrAzY??? I am 4 now. My mommy keeps asking me where the time went - not really sure because I was there every day of those four years. Mommy and Daddy say that I am not a baby at all any more - I am a big girl who is really independent and sassy, I guess those are good things right?
I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone that helped me celebrate my birthday, I am a really lucky girl to have so many friends and family that love me.

Ta ta ta
Today was my music class presentation to the parents at my school. I have been taking music class all year and this was my chance to show off everything that I have learned. Mommy, Daddy and Uncle John all came, it was a lot of fun.

Dance Recital
Today I had my first Dance recital. I have been practicing for this event for a long time and was so excited to finally be able to put on a show today. I was a really lucky girl to have my Mommy, Daddy, Uncle John, Nana, Auntie Jane, Parisa and Raina come and watch me dance. It was a lot of fun to watch all the other dancers dance too - I even got to see my teachers dance, they are really good.
